The first of its kind the YUNG BOD C-section Rock'n'Roller is a multipurpose massaging beauty tool that improves the appearance of post-delivery skin and boosts absorption of topical skincare products.

Since the skin around your c-section is likely to become raised, thick, and firm as it recovers, manual massages may help your skin look flatter, smoother, and more even. This can help break down built-up collagen (which is what makes scars appear and feel lumpy and bumpy) and give your c-section skin the best chance of healing with a faint scar appearance.

Our massaging roller features two multi-purpose heads: a small amethyst stone head and a large ridged stainless steel acupressure head.

+ The amethyst stone head, the purple stone is known for its relaxing energy and product absorption, it has a more soothing and smoothing effect on your skin by gently massaging the area.

The power of amethyst is rooted in its ability to bring us comfort and ease pain. Along with its remarkable stress-relieving properties, people often use amethyst to meditate, relax, and increase their sense of comfort. With beautiful, mesmerising deep violet hues, amethyst symbolises healing and well-being.

+ The ridged stainless steel head delivers a more acupressure-like feeling to your skin, which may help improve its elasticity, thickness, and flexibility over time.

These roller heads ensure your c-section skin feels supported during the recovery process, plus they enhance skincare product absorption. Once you’ve applied a topical product to your skin (such as YUNG BOD C-section Mama Cream), the roller gently presses the formula into your skin for quicker, more effective absorption.

How To Use

After showering, apply YUNG BOD C-SECTION MAMA CREAM to dry skin. Depending on your scar’s age, we recommend the using following massage techniques to rejuvenate your skin.

New scars

Age: Approximately 12 weeks to 24 months

  • Gently move the smaller, amethyst end of the roller around your c-section site. Carefully move in up and down, back and forth directions, so you’ve covered the area in a cross-hatch.
  • When your wound is three months old, you can use the larger, ridged end of the roller on the site. Use your thumb and forefinger to stretch the skin in your c-section area, moving the roller in up and down, back and forth directions, so you’ve covered the area in a cross-hatch.
  • You can build up pressure over time and up to five minutes of massage per day.

Old scars

Age: Approximately 2 years onwards

This area can be sore and delicate, even if the scar is years old. However, you can massage the site straight away.

  • Gently move the smaller, amethyst end of the roller around your c-section site. Carefully move in up and down, back and forth directions, so you’ve covered the area in a cross-hatch.
  • Use your thumb and forefinger to stretch the skin in your c-section area, moving the larger, ridged end of the roller in up and down, back and forth directions, so you’ve covered the area in a cross-hatch.
  • You can massage for 10 to 15 minutes at a time, two to three times per week.

Pro Tips

  • For an extra cooling and calming effect, store your roller in the fridge.
  • You never know if you’ll get a baby who’s a sleeper or a screamer: it’s the same with our amethyst stones. They’re natural, so you can expect some variations in your unique stone.
  • We’re not here to tell you what to do, but like most things in life, don’t go too hard or too often with your roller.

YUNG BOD C-Section ROCK 'N" Roller faqs

When can I start massaging my C-section scar?

Scar massage should only begin once the incision is fully healed and closed, usually around 6–12 weeks post-surgery. If unsure, speak to your midwife, GP or healthcare professional before starting.

Does C-section scar massage really help?

Once healed, regular scar massage may help soften scar tissue, improve flexibility and reduce tightness. Many physiotherapists recommend massage as part of post-surgical recovery.

Can I use this cream on an old C-section scar?

Yes. It can be used on both new (fully healed) and older scars. Even older scar tissue may benefit from hydration and massage.

Can this tool break down scar tissue?

Scar tissue cannot be “removed”, but consistent massage may help improve the texture, softness and mobility of the area over time.

Is the Rock ‘n’ Roller safe for older C-section scars?

Yes. Even scars that are several years old may benefit from massage to support comfort and flexibility.

Can I use the roller without scar cream?

Yes, but using a moisturiser or scar cream may allow the tool to glide more smoothly and improve comfort during massage.

Is the amethyst head medically proven?

Amethyst is used here as a smooth, cooling stone for gentle massage. While crystals themselves are not medical treatments, the benefit comes from the massage technique rather than the stone’s properties.
