Contiform sits comfortably inside the vagina, where it gently supports the bladder neck and urethra. This added support can help prevent leaks caused by pressure — such as when you:
- Cough or sneeze
- Run or jump
- Lift shopping
- Exercise at the gym
- Walk the dog
It works in harmony with your pelvic floor muscles and can be worn daily or only when you need extra protection.
Contiform Pessary faqs
How do I choose the right size?
If you’re new to Contiform, start with the Starter Pack. Most women begin with the medium size and adjust based on comfort and leak control.
Can I wear Contiform all day?
Yes. It can be worn daily or only during activities when leaks are more likely. It should be removed and cleaned at least every 24 hours.
How long does it last?
With daily use, a single unit typically lasts around 30–45 days.
What is the difference between Contiform and IDiSh?
Contiform and IDiSh are both vaginal pessaries designed to help manage stress urinary incontinence by supporting the urethra and reducing bladder leaks during activity.
IDiSh is available on prescription and offers a similar internal support mechanism. The sizing is equivalent:
- Small Contiform = IDiSh Size 1
- Medium Contiform = IDiSh Size 2
- Large Contiform = IDiSh Size 3
If Contiform replacement units are unavailable, IDiSh provides a suitable alternative for many women. If you are unsure which option is right for you, we recommend speaking with your GP, continence nurse or pelvic health specialist.
Can I switch from Contiform to IDiSh?
Yes — many women can switch from Contiform to IDiSh using the equivalent size. If you already know your Contiform size, you can choose the matching IDiSh size for similar support.
As with any vaginal pessary, correct fit and comfort are essential. If you experience discomfort, persistent leakage or difficulty inserting the device, seek advice from a healthcare professional.
A Trusted, Non-Surgical Approach

Contiform is made from medical-grade materials and designed to provide comfortable internal support to help reduce bladder leaks during everyday activities.
Choosing the correct size is important for comfort and effectiveness. If possible, speak to a healthcare professional for guidance, especially if you’re new to using a pessary.
